So you want to create a website with WordPress? Customize it? Learn more about a plugin? Look no further, you’ve come to the right place.
WPMarmite’s mission is to help beginners, freelancers and bloggers set up their websites, customize them and manage them on a daily basis like professionals.
To achieve this, the whole team is working hard to produce:
- Tutorials on WordPress and its plugins without jargon;
- Theme collections to find the right design for your website;
- Comprehensive comparisons and tests to help you make the right choices;
- Educational and fun videos to show you what to do step by step;
- Courses and workshops to help those who want to go further.
Our goal? Give you all the keys to “get the best out of WordPress”. In other words, we help you create great websites with a happy face (sounds better, right?).
As you browse through WPMarmite contents, you will see that everything is done to make technical subjects understandable, even if you are not a supreme master in computer science.
Today, the blog helps more than 4,000 people a day to use WordPress, and nearly 20,000 subscribers receive the newsletter’s tips to improve their skills.
Who is the head chef?
WPMarmite was founded in February 2011 by Alex Borto (it’s me, on the right).
Originally, the blog’s objective was to help as many people as possible find the ideal theme.
In 2014, following readers’ requests, the editorial line was extended to cover WordPress from top to bottom.
Over time, “la Marmite” has become an essential french WordPress resource. And now, the blog is available in English to help the global WordPress community.
To tell you the truth, helping people to progress quickly became a real obsession (and it’s impossible to cure myself!).
To carry out this mission successfully, it was necessary to build a team because the project became too big to be managed on its own.
Today, I am lucky enough to be surrounded by about seven teammates to keep WPMarmite boiling. Let me introduce them to you:
Aurore
Content Manager
Julien
Support & webmastering
Thibaut
Content writing & Copywriting
Vincent
WordPress development,
Proofreading
Oléane
Video editing
Claire
Support & accounting
Julia
Community manager
Without them, I assure you that WPMarmite would not be the same.
I am really lucky to have them by my side because they help me to serve you on a daily basis.
In particular, the team is involved in maintaining and developing the 3 WPMarmite “pillars”:
WPMarmite
