The footer is the bottom area of a website. Just like the header, this zone appears permanently on all the pages of the site. We will therefore place relevant elements that apply to the entire site and not to certain pages in particular.

In general, the footer contains information such as links to “Contact”, “Legal”, “Terms and Conditions”, “Privacy Policy”, “sitemap”, “copyright”, etc.

This list is not exhaustive and there is no obligation or limit to mention elements in the footer. Just remember that they must be useful for your visitors when they navigate from page to page.

The customization of the footer depends on the chosen theme and is usually done in the Appearance menu.

Some WordPress themes even offer areas of widgets to insert in the footer. Be careful however not to add too many so as not to distract visitors.
